JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Advice and Guidance Officer- NVQ 4 or equivalent
Reporting to: Regional Performance Manager
Location: North East
Salary: 22.5 – 25.5K
Hours: 37.5 per week
Closing Date for Applications: 1st February, 2010
Job PurposeTo offer impartial IAG services to all clients of learning links and maintain an up to date resource library of all referral options available to clients receiving IAG service. This will include prospectuses, funding opportunities, support and various other literatures deemed appropriate
- Experience of delivering IAG to clients
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise a high number of tasks at any one time
- Knowledge of Labour market trends and the requirements of client group.
- In your job position as Advice & Guidance Officer you will perform all acts, duties and obligations and comply with such orders as may be designated by the Company which are reasonably consistent with that position.
- To record information to support the management of their cases and to provide related management information.
- To promote inclusion, equality and diversity for the benefit of the client group.
- Be able to attend networking events and meetings with partners & providers as well as clients.
Desirable - Qualified NVQ 4 Advice and Guidance or equivalent
- Must be a proficient computer user
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to encourage, motivate and engage with others
- The ability to prioritise a high number of tasks at any one time
- Willing to assist colleagues and sub-contractors
