Graham came to learndirect at the Learning Links Europe centre in 2009 to do an Employability course. He has learning difficulties and sometimes found the course a real struggle. However, with a lot of perseverance and hard work he passed. Graham’s hunger for learning and confidence grew as he started coming into the centre more, and he went on to gain a maths qualification. Graham has now secured a work placement in a supermarket and hopes to be offered a full-time job with them in the near future.

Graham said: "I didn't expect to win, it's a total shock. I'm really surprised! I've done it with a lot of help and support, my work placement is going really well and I hope to be offered a full-time job soon."
